right off the bat, when we entered we immediately got seated and provided snacks. the servers were very friendly and patient despite it being a busy night and the whole table enjoyed their food! most of it had to be packed up because the portions were so sized. definitely recommend if you‘re in the area and need to satisfy your mexican food urges!

Had the enchiladas and they were great. Boyfriend had tacos and loved them since they were corn tortillas and he's celiac

I don't quite understand all the negative reviews this place is getting. My wife and I were there last night with friends and found the food to be great. I had two tacos, one bean, the other chicken and they were tasty. My wife had their huge burrito which was also very good. Will definitely return.

It is was an unforgettable opening . Tequila Cocina will have success. No matter the first day and the absurd amount of people they did very well!! Freddie did a great job helping us with great service . We had seviche, taco salad ( we asked no cilantro !!!) and beef tacos and beer, white wine and a lot of delicious margaritas! We were a party of 5 and we had a blast!! The place has a great ambience and the mariachi and the beautiful colourful dancer brought happiness to all people attending!!! Good job , they will see us there again !!!

Very lively Friday night! Service was prompt and the food was absolutely delicious. Bring your appetite because you will want to taste everything! Definitely will be returning!

Our family has been to this restaurant a few times. Service was really fast and friendly. Authentic, fresh Mexican food with super generous portions. We will go back. Try the enchiladas or burritos. So yummy.

Authentic and delicious. Great happy hour. Their default spice level is on par for what you'd expect North Van to want, but that isn't me. I want to taste to South West and once I was like "make it hot like home" boy did they deliver. That personal touch from an establishment is what I love about places. This is the place that North Van needed.

Amazing Pescado ! Amazing bean tacos! Incredibly priced! Mark Green was so helpful to get us a table! Francisco was super friendly! Love having this place in our hood!

Finally, a authentic Mexican Restaurant in the North Shore. Their food is so amazing, you have to come here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Friggin excellent spot! The food is awesome and its the first place Ive ever actually gotten a bulldog margarita...wow...how have i never had one of those before? Its all I want to drink now. The staff are good and the interior decor is okay...could use a little something but its nice.

Despite the bad reviews, I actually like the place. The decor makes you think the place should have lower prices. Starting off I really like the tortilla chips and the mild salsa verde and salsa rojo. We had the breakfast burrito, enchiladas and tamales. The breakfast burrito was huge and a good value. The enchiladas were on a large plate with salad rice and beans. The tamales were a bit on the small side but were very tasty. I highly recommend the churros.

I love this place!! It's so friendly and welcoming and so are the young family that run it. I have been here 4 times since they opened. The food is traditional cuisine and very tasty. They are open to knowing about your experience and making it better which is super refreshing from a new establishment and I am in love with the Margaritas!! it's fabulous to have a place to go that is building community.

Very good food! Definitely better than most Mexican restaurants in the city and fare prices. I recommend the PARRILLADA if you are going in group. ;)

One of the most fun atmospheres I've experienced at a restaurant. Authentic food and drinks, friendly and accommodating staff/management. Mariachi band was excellent too!

Just an amazing place to go to and try some delicious food. Staff are very friendly. The enchiladas, beans, and rice had a amazing fresh taste that added a hint of heat that had me wanting more. The cauliflower tacos has to be the best taco that I've ever tasted in Vancouver. And people who would disagree probably pour their milk first then their cereal. Would definitely go again

Incredible Mexican place, its flavour is unique and very traditional, staff friendly and helpful, the tacos are so good and also they have nexicsn drinks(pop). Good music and the correlation food-price is good and reasonable. They have variety of non spicy salsas and spicy as well

This is one of the only Mexican places in the area and the tacos are very good but the rest of the menu is a pass. The service is hit or miss, the staff are super friendly and are quick to offer suggestions but the food can take a long time to get to your table. They have some really cool drink choices, so it's a good place to come hang our for a drink.

We often eat next door so we were happy to see a Mexican place open up..We coincidentally came on Tuesday for the all day happy hour and we tried a selection of tacos.We found service to be efficient and the food came out quite fast..we especially liked the Seafood tacos.Ask for some hot sauce to add a bit more spice to the food but otherwise great experience..
